Franklin Trull is a fantasy author from rural Ohio, writing character-driven dark fantasy with a strong emotional core. His work blends ensemble adventure, layered world building, and the quieter human truths that sit underneath magic, war, and myth.
He is especially drawn to stories about loyalty, grief, trauma, and the ways people become family under pressure. While his work lives firmly in fantasy, he is less interested in spectacle for its own sake than in what fantasy can reveal about people: what they hide, what they survive, and what they owe each other when the world starts breaking apart.
His current project, Minhal: Veil of Malevolence – Traitor’s Gambit, is the first book in a planned trilogy.
